LLama.ai is LLamasoft’s cloud-based enterprise software solution. This project was centered around administration functionality for the software for both internal (LLamasoft system administrators) and external users (customer administrators). I was able to redesign existing pages to match the new branding/look and feel of the software in addition to adding new screens that do not currently exist. The functionality was focused around giving customer administrators the same access to administration functionality as our LLamasoft System Administrators currently have. Now both internal LLamasoft System Admins and external Customer Admins can view users, add users, grant permissions to users, set up and configure SSO for their company, create user groups, edit user groups, and share assets with groups throughout the software. This software has been developed to serve users globally and these features will roll out March 2020.

THE llama.ai platform TEAM

The LLama.ai platform team was comprised of myself, a team of front-end and backend developers, a business analyst, a strategist, a product manager, and stakeholders included employees from our DevOps and Licensing teams who currently serve as the System Admins to the platform. Our external users we did research with were actual LLama.ai users, namely from Caterpillar and Cargill.

TARGET USERS

The target users for Platform Administration are three main personas. Two internal LLamasoft users, Licensing Administrators and System Administrators, and one external user, Customer Administrators. Explore more about the personas below!

MY Role: Design and Research

I was tasked with updating the designs to meet industry standards for accessibility, interaction design and visual design, and conducting research with users. Additionally, I overhauled the interfaces and restructured the information architecture of the application across all screen sizes. Whew!

When I joined the project, I conducted a heuristic evaluation, extensive market research, a competitive analysis and held stakeholder interviews to build the user personas, journey maps, and roadmap for feature prioritization. During my time on the project, I ran both moderated and unmoderated user tests, ran workshops, brainstorming sessions, exploratory interviews, and conducted field research. Additionally, we had a pilot group of users we engaged with to conduct diary studies, task based research sessions and also held exploratory interviews with internal and external users.
